The hosts soon got their second wicket of the day when Yasir Shah knicked the ball through to Jos Buttler who took his second catch of the day. Yasir departed for 5. These wickets allowed England to restrict the Pakistan total.
Things didn’t get better for the visitors when Shaheen was run out for 0. Dom Sibley as he did in the first Test neatly picked the ball and hit the stumps directly dismissing the Pakistan batsman.
Unfortunately for England Rizwan remained at the crease. Rizwan played some exuberant shots and began to score quickly. He soon passed his half century and looked to accelerate the run rate.
