This series examines discrimination in UK Sport, focussing on different forms of discrimination throughout British sports. The first episode focuses on the extent of homophobia in UK Sport.
Many members of the LGBTQ+ community still believe that UK sport is not as inclusive as its presented. There remains an archaic attitude and archaic notion of masculinity that leads to discrimination in sport. LGBTQ+ activist believes that this was a key motivation behind the discrimination and abuse that Justin Fashanu faced. And the experiences of some in amateur club cricket show that this idea of masculinity has trickled down through all levels of sport.
