This series examines discrimination in UK Sport, focussing on different forms of discrimination throughout British sports. The second episode of this series focuses on the extent of racism in UK Sport.
Racism in UK sport is still a prevalent issue, with recent events such as the racist abuse received by England players following the Euros in 2020, the inquiry into Yorkshire Cricket, and the report which found Scotland Cricket to be institutionally racist. But racism within UK sport has been a longstanding problem. This episode looks at the experiences of some who have been racially abused and the ways in which they and anti-racism believe racism is expressed in football and society.
