England left frustrated in the decisive Test- England vs West Indies, Test 3, Day 4

England were left frustrated as the fourth day of the decisive Test was abandoned due to rain.

The hosts took two wickets late in the day on day three and would have liked to carry the momentum into the fourth day, but the weather meant that England were unable to capitalise on. Broad took the two wickets at the end of day three which left him on 499 Test wickets.

The loss of a day meant that England need eight wickets on the final day of the Test to win the series. The West Indies are in a very similar position in the decisive Test as they were in the second Test. The visitors will need to bat out the day in order to draw the Test and the series.

They will need each batsman to contribute if they were to hold off the potent England bowling attack who will be refreshed with a day’s break and a relatively new ball.
