Gloucester announce new attack coach
Gloucester have announced their new attack coach, as new Head Coach George Skivington looks to finalise his coaching staff. The Kingsholm club have announced Alex King as their new attack coach.
The highly rated coach will join Gloucester after a brief spell at French side Montpellier.
“I’m very excited to be joining Gloucester Rugby,” said King.
“It’s a fantastic opportunity to be part of the future of a great club with some of the most incredible fans in the game… I’m looking forward to being part of George’s new coaching team, and meeting the players soon.”
The former fly-half who spent the majority of his time at Wasps, with whom he won the Premiership before leaving to play for Clermont Auvergne. He then became a coach at Clermont Auvergne after his playing career, during his time coaching at the club he helped guide them to a maiden Top 14 title. He also helped coach Northampton Saints win a Premiership title back in 2014 before moving to Montpellier.
The former England international, King, was also Wales attack coach during the 2017 Six Nations Championship.
George Skivington is very pleased with the addition of King to his coaching staff.

“Alex is a highly-respected coach and his rugby brain is second to none. With his proven pedigree, he will bring a high level of skill and knowledge to the players, and the coaching team too.
“This is a really exciting appointment for us, and we are looking forward to welcoming Alex to this great Club.”
The addition of such a highly touted coach will provide great news for Gloucester fans ahead of the resumption of the season.
