Liverpool Extend Klopp's Contract
Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has extended his contract at the Merseyside club until 2024.
Klopp joined the club in 2015 and signed a six-year contract in 2016 has extended that contract.
This new contract for Klopp is well deserved after winning the 2018 Champions League and topping their group in the Champions League group stages.
The 52-year-old has guided them to this position and will look to win Liverpool’s first league title since 1990.
The former Borussia Dortmund manager is happy with the state and the development of the club.
In an interview with the club’s website he said, “"This club is in such a good place, I couldn't contemplate leaving,
"For me personally this is a statement of intent, one which is built on my knowledge of what we as a partnership have achieved so far and what is still there for us to achieve.
"When I see the development of the club and the collaborative work that continues to take place, I feel my contribution can only grow.”
He believes that the progress and work on the pitch is not the only development that the club has undergone.
The German manager believes that this was a perfect match. “When the call came in autumn 2015, I felt we were perfect for each other; if anything, now I feel I underestimated that.
"It is only with a total belief that the collaboration remains totally complementary on both sides that I am able to make this commitment to 2024.”
His side is currently undefeated in the Premier League and have an eight-point lead over Leicester in the Premier League.
They will look to maintain their outstanding record in the Premier League as they face Watford on Saturday.
